The Kadey-Krogen Group adds Chicago-based Schwartz & Co. Yacht Sales
to sales network, expanding presence in Great Lakes region.
October, 2023, Stuart, Florida — Schwartz & Co. Yacht Sales of Chicago, with expertise in trawlers, luxury motor yachts, and sailboats in the Great Lakes region, joins The Kadey-Krogen Group, builder of world-class Krogen, Summit, and American Tug brands. Schwartz will now act as a dealer for new and used models of Krogen and Summit yachts, and will continue to represent American Tug, the LaConner, Washington, based cruising trawler builder acquired by The Kadey-Krogen Group in May 2023.
The addition of Schwartz to this dimension of the consolidated trawler construction market also extends a far-reaching coastal distribution network into the Midwest U.S. and across the Great Lakes region. Along with Schwartz, Krogen’s sales offices now include Portsmouth, R.I.; Annapolis, Md.; Seattle, Wash.; and Stuart, Fla.

Joining The Kadey-Krogen Group as a dealer is an optimal arrangement, Schwartz adds. “We have worked extensively creating community in the Great Lakes region for American Tug owners and have substantially expanded the Great Lakes fleet,” Schwartz continues. “We see Krogen and Summit as a similar mutually beneficial relationship for us to help grow sales and community in a region. We are incredibly excited to work with Kadey-Krogen Group President Tucker West and the entire Kadey-Krogen team. Krogen and Summit will make American Tug better, American Tug will make Kadey and Summit better, and the involvement of Schwartz & Co. Yacht Sales will take the entire relationship to a new, exciting level.”
The strength of the ongoing relationship between Schwartz and American Tug, notably Schwartz’s ability to sell boats, maintain high yacht resale values, and create community for owners and buyers, fit perfectly with The Kadey-Krogen Group’s company mission, says Kadey-Krogen Group President Tucker West.
