Kadey-Krogen Welcomes New Crew Members

Company Growth Continues During These Interesting Times

PORTSMOUTH, R.I., February 10, 2021— As part of Kadey-Krogen Yacht’s continued drive to enhance our customers’ experience, we have added two key team members in our Portsmouth, Rhode Island, location. We welcome Production Manager Fran Morey and Marketing Coordinator Ford Bauer.

Fran Morey

Marine industry veteran Fran Morey joins Kadey-Krogen as the company’s new Production Manager. He will serve as the liaison between the sales group and our builder, Asia Harbor Yacht Builders in Taiwan.

“I am thrilled to join the group here at Kadey-Krogen and Summit MotorYachts and look forward to helping our clients build the boat of their dreams,” said Fran. “The constant drive to create both the world’s best long-distance voyager and performance cruiser is what drew me to Kadey-Krogen and that’s what I’ll be thinking about every day.

Fran Morey, Production Manager

Prior to joining our team, Fran was the Director of Service and Product Training for Grand Banks Yachts for more than 20 years. With a focus on manufacturing improvements, product development, and customer service, Fran travelled the world to work directly with customers from Turkey to Seattle. He most recently worked with Hunt Yachts as the Project Manager for its Ocean Series. Fran has personally delivered boats to six of the seven continents of the world over the course of his career.

“Having had the opportunity to work with Fran for 10 years in the past made the decision to have him join the team a pretty easy one,” said Tucker West, Vice President of Sales for Kadey-Krogen Yachts. “His overall boat knowledge from systems to design, to performance and production rank him as one of the industry tops. We expect great things from Fran with regards to current and future Krogen and Summit products.”

Ford Bauer

A Rhode Island native, Ford shares the same passion for being on the water that runs through the entire Kadey-Krogen team. He spent his summers exploring his local waters on a small center console and found a love for boating and the ocean. After graduating from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, he returned to Middletown, R.I., working within the sales development department of a luxury-focused travel agency.

“We are thrilled to bring on board such an enthusiastic resource with experience in the luxury marketplace,” said Tucker. “As a company, we also care deeply about bringing up the next generation of marine-industry professionals.”

Ford Bauer, Marketing Coordinator

Ford will leverage his experience in digital marketing, analytics, SEO, and social media management to engage current and future Kadey-Krogen customers. Adding this expertise in-house will allow a more seamless flow of marketing campaigns, content updates, and owner communication. The plan includes the return of the NAVAID newsletter to provide deeper insight into our boats and great stories from our owners. Ford is also working on a new social media plan to include more video-oriented postings, as well as the growth of our YouTube page.

“As a life-long boater, I am very excited to be moving into the boating industry with such a prestigious company and experienced team,” said Ford.
