Hull and superstructure molds from high-grade female tooling.
Hull construction includes use of USA-made, Cook® gel coat. Hand-laid Knytex®
fiberglass construction with closed-cell PVC sandwich core used in topsides. Solid
fiberglass below waterline with blister-resistant Vinylester resin and epoxy hull
Superstructure includes end-grain balsa core and Knytex® surface mats for printthrough
Teak aft and side decks. Boat and fore decks have GripTex® non-skid finish.
Bulwark molded plank lines with gelcoat finish.
Polyurethane formulated marine sealants used at hull-to-deck, boat deck joints and
Marine-grade plywood bulkheads with molded fiberglass hat section stringers.
Interior finished with handcrafted solid teak and veneers.
Covered Back Deck
A hallmark Kadey-Krogen feature, the 39 has a spacious covered "back porch" with teak decks, side and transom boarding doors. A ladder on the port side leads to the boat deck and fly bridge. Utilities on the "porch" include a hot and cold fresh water shower, fresh and salt water hose bibs and 110 vac power. Access to a large swim platform is through the transom door. The area is protected with sun screens.
The saloon is entered through a beautiful varnished teak door from the covered aft deck. Teak parquet flooring flows forward and into the galley. Port side is a settee (convertible to a double berth) with large drawers beneath. On the starboard side is a L-shaped settee with a expandable teak table. With the table opened, up 6 people can dine with ample space. The saloon is bright with three full size opening windows. Each window has screens, curtains and a matching teak valance. A 12 vdc TV is mounted in the corner. The TV with an internal DVD is connected to the on air HD antenna.
The pilothouse is up three steps from the saloon. There are weathertight welded aluminum Dutch doors port and starboard which, combined with a stainless steel aft bulkhead port, and two (2) overhead hatches, provide plenty of natural ventilation and light. These doors also provide access to the forward deck. There is a comfortable settee that converts to a double berth with a custom table and custom built-in storage beneath the wheel. The pilothouse has a classic/nautical teak and holly deck.
The master stateroom is forward and down from the pilothouse. There is a queen-size island berth, two hanging lockers, a mirrored and lighted vanity, drawer storage and generous under-berth storage . Four stainless steel opening ports and a screened overhead hatch provide light and ventilation. There is a flat-screen TV that is connected to the HD on air antenna.
The head is aft of the stateroom on the starboard side. There is a Raritan Marine Elegance macerating freshwater head, stall shower with bi-fold aluminum and glass door, vanity with mirrored medicine chest and stainless steel opening port.
The open-faced galley is located forward of the saloon on the starboard side, and looks out into the saloon. There is ample storage within multiple cabinets and drawers. The major components include:

Engine Room and Machinery
One of the unique features of the Krogen 39' is the stand-up engine room. Primary access is from a walk-thru door at the landing from the pilothouse steps, aft of the stateroom. All systems are readily accessible. There is also a workbench, storage and overhead lighting. BAGUS has a spotless, well organized main machinery space.
