Description

Come see ZINGARA in-person at the Kadey-Krogen Annapolis Open House, October 2-3, 2020.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions for this event, we require all showings to be made by pre-arranged appointment.  Please see contact information below.

We are proud to introduce you to ZINGARA, the next to last Krogen 39 ever built – and still of top caliber.

ZINGARA is for those buyers searching for a well maintained, extensively equipped, walk-around trawler, with the preference of a later model and its attributes.  In addition to her attractive engine hours under 2500, she is one of only two Krogen 39s featuring a Tier II John Deere engine for improved emissions.

ZINGARA is a popular Great Loop or bluewater coastal cruiser, capable of a max bridge clearance of 12' 7" when the mast and electronics are lowered, and a draft of 4' 3".  Walk-around decks make locks and docks a breeze. A stand-up engine room permits easy and safe access.  Ideal for the cruising couple or single-handler.   For those buyers not ready or interested in long range cruising, some have found the Krogen 39 to simply be their perfect waterfront condo and classic weekend cruiser to local destinations.

While not cruising, ZINGARA's home has been in the fresher brackish waters of the northern Chesapeake Bay, properly winterized and protected off-season.  Her current owners long-range cruising plans have recently changed, thus she is available to you with special incentive to buy before Fall 2020.

Features include:

Stabilizers, bow thruster, stern thruster, upgraded 8 kw generator, fuel polisher, LED lighting, newer electronics, reverse cycle A/C, fresh drinking water filtration system in both galley and head sink, low maintenance exterior with beautiful Awlgrip-covered teak cap and toe rails, aluminum fuel tanks, spur line cutters, complete exterior canvas and screen package, newer tender,  extensive spare parts, clean and fully labeled engine room, new bottom paint, new compound and wax, new mattress, and all recent maintenance, including stabilizer and heat exchanger services, oil and zincs.  Plus, she has been plumbed for watermaker – ready when you are for the Caribbean islands!

Interior is in excellent condition, including fully-carpeted flooring that easily lifts to reveal like-new original teak flooring, all cushions and fabrics in pristine condition without replacement needed, brand new master stateroom mattress, all teak cabinetry is meticulously cleaned and practically blemish free. Fresh and clean throughout just waiting for your own personal touches to be added - what every modern-day cruiser seeks.

To maximize space for 1-2 cruising owners, ZINGARA features a spacious single master stateroom with centerline queen bed, separate head and shower, and plenty of storage.  For occasional guests, she can accommodate 3-4 more people by converting the settees in both the pilothouse and saloon to a double and single berth respectively.

Outside access is provided through two Aluminum Dutch-style weather doors, port and starboard.  These doors are one of the best features of a Krogen raised pilothouse, permitting fresh air to come in when tops are open, while keeping you safe with the bottoms shut.  The high bow of Kadey-Krogen also keeps your ride dry while underway.

Visibility is excellent through the 5-window windshield, two additional windows aft of the Pilothouse doors and a large opening port light on the aft bulkhead.

The two overhead, screened hatches provide additional light and ventilation.

Aft of the helm is the settee, which pulls out to convert to a double watch berth, or provides additional sleeping quarters for occasional guests.

There is a teak hi-low table in front of the settee, perfect for cruising, beverages, a laptop video meeting from your remote office, or homemade sunset dinners on the hook.
