Start planning your spring cruise now, there will be limited opportunity to take a boat south out of Lake Michigan in Spring of 2020. Inside heated storage for JONAH is paid, and you can begin making her your own NOW and be ready to go when the ice melts!

Not only is JONAH one of the last 2 Whalebacks built, but she is also the much sought-after Grand Saloon model. The interior accommodations of the Whaleback are comparable to those found on much larger vessels. Her two staterooms, two full heads, laundry, galley and spacious saloon are all on one level with no steps whatsoever. For spending extended periods aboard, or living aboard, there is nothing that is even close in 48'; the living is luxurious, and having the storage to provision for months at a time is yet another Whaleback hallmark.

The ship-like pilothouse offers 360 degree visibility for the captain from the comfort of a Stidd helm seat, and there is plenty of room for friends and family as well, whether underway or at anchor. The refrigerator/freezer, wet bar and entertainment options are within easy reach of the large L-shaped settee with hi-lo table.

JONAH'S maneuverability is exactly what you would want and expect from a proper yacht. The combination of outstanding hydrostatic metrics with bow and stern thrusters, large prop and "barn door" rudder give you all the handling and predictability you need. No "white knuckles" here.

Under her current owners, just her second, JONAH has spent the last 4 years cruising the freshwaters of Lake Michigan. During the off-season she has been stored in inside heated storage.

Combining the well-known attributes of the Whaleback with the care and attention of her meticulous owners, JONAH is the epitome of the perfect cruising yacht, offering both form and function. Her constant upgrades including state-of-the art electronics and modern décor keep JONAH ahead of the crowd and what many yachts can only aspire to.

If you have made the commitment to cruising but have yet to find the ideal cruising platform, your search may very well end with JONAH, you will not be disappointed.

JONAH is shown by appointment only and with advance notice.

Full Specifications

Solid hand laid PPG combo mat fiberglass below the waterline with closed cell P.V.C. sandwich core used in the topsides for thermal and sound insulation. End grained balsa-cored superstructure, pilothouse and boat deck. Core mat is also used to reduce print-through. Vinylester resin used in first two laminates below the waterline for osmotic protection. Marine plywood bulkheads and multiple fiberglass hat stringers ensure an extremely rigid hull. Top notch construction, superior owner support and limited production are why Krogen's maintain superior resale value.

The Grand Saloon is entered through double Freeman weather tight doors from the fully covered aft deck, i.e. back porch. The entrance has a Phantom Screen and the aft bulkhead has the optional opening window. To port is the entertainment center which includes a Samsung HDTV and a home theater system. Also on the port side are 2 leather recliners (new 2018) and 2 ottomans with storage. On the starboard side is an L-shaped settee with 4 large storage lockers under. Forward is drawer and locker storage, and a breakfast bar that seats 2, and there is a VHF RAM mic within easy reach from the saloon and galley. The movable hi-low folding leaf table can seat up to 8 comfortably. There are upholstered lambrequins and teak valances for the port, starboard and aft bulkhead windows and mini-blinds for each. The master stateroom offers abundant ventilation for those idyllic nights at anchor. The Krogen Pure Full Displacement hull form with it's absence of hard chines and spray rails helps insure a peaceful, almost therapeutic, nights sleep without the annoying hull slap prominent with other hull forms.

The ensuite master head is aft to port. It has a tiled floor, decorative backsplash, Corian countertop with under-mount sink, medicine cabinet, Raritan "Elegance" fresh water toilet (2015) and a stall shower with bi-fold door, molded seat, Mattsson temperature controlled fixture and a Grohe shower head (2016). Guest Head

The guest head is conveniently located directly across from the guest cabin. As with the master head, the guest head features a tiled floor, Corian countertop with under-mount sink, decorative backsplash, stall shower with bi-fold door, molded seat, Mattsson temperature controlled fixture with Grohe shower head (2016), opening port, and a Raritan "Elegance" fresh water toilet (2015).

The pilothouse can be accessed from inside via circular stairs from the companionway, or from the upper side decks through Freeman weather-tight aluminum Dutch doors. The 360 degree view is spectacular for both captain and guests. The centerline helm puts everything within easy reach of the Stidd helm chair (2015). There is a custom breaker panel just below the helm for all the navigation electronics, lights, thrusters, stabilizers etc.

The L-shaped settee gives guests panoramic views while enjoying a beverage or a meal at the hi-lo table, and for those occasions when you have overnight guests the settee converts to a large double berth.

On the port side is a under counter Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer and sink along with bottle storage and additional drawer storage.
