Description

CURIOSITY has been expertly maintained and cared for by just her second owner, who has cruised the east coast from the Chesapeake to Florida. Her interior accommodations and storage are immense, and her engine room is the envy of every other manufacturer of this size boat. Easily provisioned for extended periods away from the dock, CURIOSITY'S shallow draft (less than 3') allow her owners to access quiet coves and anchorages unavailable to deeper draft vessels, and with all the comforts and conveniences of home. Her twin Yanmar 75 hp diesels offer excellent maneuverability and provide a range in excess of 3000 nm.

Full Specifications

Saloon and Lower Helm

Entering through and aluminum aft door is the saloon which offers 360 degree visibility. To starboard is an in-line settee that converts to upper and lower berths. To port is an L-shaped dinette that converts to a double berth. Forward on the starboard side is the lower helm with a Dutch door to access the side deck. To port is a companion seat and chart table. The entire area is bright and natural ventilation is provided by numerous opening windows and doors. Both the aft and side doors are fitted with retractable screens.

There is a Samsung flat-screen TV that drops down from an overhead cabinet at the forward end, and there are bulkhead mounted speakers for the AM/FM/CD/DVD player.

Beneath the saloon is a storage area that is cavernous and is accessed through a large hatch in the sole and convenient molded steps.

Galley

Located down and forward from the saloon is the apartment-sized galley to starboard. In addition to abundant storage and counter space, the major components include:

  • 23 Cu. ft. stainless steel refrigerator/freezer with water and ice dispenser
  • 4-Burner electric cooktop
  • Convection microwave oven
  • Stainless steel dishwasher
  • Trash compactor
  • Dish rack
  • 2 Opening ports

Opposite the galley is a comfortable dinette that can be converted to a large work area.

Guest/Day Head

Forward of the galley on the starboard side is the guest head with a large shower, VacuFlush head, Corian topped vanity, mirrored medicine cabinet and opening port.

Guest Cabin

Opposite the guest head is the guest cabin. Forward is a large settee with bulkhead mounted reading light and magazine rack. The settee converts to a double berth. There are six storage drawers under the settee/berth. Aft is a desk with book shelves above, a hanging locker, 2 storage drawers and a file drawer. There are 2 opening ports.

Master Stateroom

Entering the forward/master cabin from the companionway on the starboard side is a lighted vanity with knee hole, Corian countertop, 3-mirror medicine cabinet with generous storage, sink, storage cabinet and drawer. Forward and to starboard are a very large hanging locker, a smaller hanging locker, drawer and cabinet storage. There is generous shelf space above the hanging lockers and under shelf storage, and an opening port. Aft of the hanging lockers is the en suite head with a very large shower with opening port and a VacuFlush head.

All the way forward is the queen-size island berth with foam mattress, 4-drawer storage under as well as additional storage forward of the drawer-ends. There is an opening hatch above the berth with a Bomar retractable shade/screen. To port is another hanging locker, drawer and cabinet storage and an opening port. Aft of the hanging locker is a desk with storage drawer and plenty of desk/shelf space.

The entire forward cabin is very proper. All vertical surfaces are done in white beaded paneling accented with varnished cherry trim, door panels and drawer fronts. All soles are done in teak and holly.
