Krogen 58' owners Karyn and Ron Rothstein are no novices when it comes to boating. Over the last ten years, they worked their way up from an 18-foot runabout to the Equinox, the Krogen 58' which is now their home. They stress the importance of seaworthiness, liveability and ability to handle their boat by themselves, as a team. They have started preparing for a circumnavigation by taking 3-5 day offshore trips to Bermuda and the Bahamas - just the two of them. One of the keys to success while cruising is the liveability of the vessel. Does it live like that which it is - a home - whether a vacation home or permanent one. Southern Boating recently wrote about the myriad of new enhancements to the Krogen 48' North Sea, especially the "gourmet galley" which consists of a Viking Range, GE refrigerator and microwave as well as all other stainless steel appliances.
