DESIGNED AND ARRANGED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE TRAWLER LIFESTYLE
The latest 48-foot Kadey-Krogen yacht design debuted in 2011: the Krogen 48' AE (Advanced Ergonomics). Like its predecessor the Krogen 48' North Sea-a vessel that became the yacht of choice for professional mariners, experienced trans-Atlantic voyagers and pleasure cruisers alike-the Krogen 48' AE now raises the bar and sets a new standard for capability and liveability in the trawler market.

Owners of Kadey-Krogen yachts who are out there living the lifestyle provided the input essential to the development of the 48' AE. The fully covered aft deck leads to the salon where either an L- or U-shaped settee is starboard, with an expandable table that raises or lowers for dining or cocktails. The expanded galley with a four-burner Viking range and other household-size appliances is complemented by a nearly floor-to-ceiling pantry opposite, on the portside. Moving up to the pilothouse there are real steps, deep and wide, with a rock-solid banister for safety. The ergonomic application continues through the pilothouse and out the portside welded aluminum weather tight doors leading to the boat deck and up to the flybridge via molded steps with accompanying handrail.

Owners have a choice of two- or three-cabin arrangements with the master forward to maximize light and ventilation. The starboard cabin in either arrangement has a built-in desk and can double as an office. Two heads are standard, each with a separate shower stall.

Bright, efficient LED lighting is found inside and out, including the running lights. The engine/machinery room is ventilated by two axial fans with moisture eliminators. At seven knots, the 201 HP Tier II John Deere® engine #6068TFM75 has a range of over 3000 nautical miles calculated with a 10% fuel reserve.
